Our Bean Blend
Arabica beans and Robusta beans, as we commonly know them, and their botanical names.

Arabica (70%) → Coffea arabica
Robusta (30%) → Coffea canephora

Good to know
The combination of Arabica and Robusta is a deliberate choice: Arabica provides the fine, chocolatey aromas and natural sweetness. Robusta ensures a dense crema and full-bodiedness. With 30% Robusta, you get the perfect balance between aroma and strength.

1. Arabica Beans (70%)
Origin: India-Kodagu

Arabica beans are grown at an altitude of 1200 meters. Cultivation at higher altitudes ensures slower growth and more complex aromas. The beans are processed washed/natural.

Arabica is known for its mild, aromatic properties and is therefore the main component in our blend. Its chocolatey notes and natural sweetness make it particularly popular.


2. Robusta Beans (30%)
Origin: India

Robusta beans contain more caffeine and oils than Arabica, which leads to a thicker, more stable crema. They are cultivated at lower altitudes.

Although Robusta is often considered "inferior," it is indispensable for espresso. Its higher body makes the coffee fuller-bodied, and the additional oils ensure the perfect crema. With a 30% share, Robusta provides strength without overpowering the delicate Arabica aromas.

Many espresso blends completely forego Robusta and only use Arabica. We absolutely wanted to avoid this, as pure Arabica espresso often has too little crema and is too thin. With our 70/30 blend, we achieve just the right balance: powerful espresso with perfect crema, yet mild and easy on the stomach.


3. Mild Roast
Roast Profile: Medium Roast

Medium roast is the golden mean between light and dark roasts. It preserves the natural flavors of the beans while reducing acidity.

The gentle drum roasting at a low temperature takes 12-15 minutes and breaks down acids. This makes the coffee particularly easy on the stomach and digestible. In contrast to industrial hot-air roasting, which only takes 2-3 minutes, all aromas fully develop here.

The roasting temperature is 210-220°C – significantly lower than for dark roasts. The result: A balanced coffee without bitterness, yet powerful.


4. Organic Certification
Certificate: DE-ÖKO-005

Organic farming means: No chemical pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, regular monitoring by independent bodies. Coffee farmers rely on sustainable cultivation methods that protect the environment and biodiversity.

Organic farming not only preserves the environment but also ensures healthier soils and better working conditions for the farmers. The beans are free from chemical residues and therefore purer in taste.

Wie sollte ich den Kaffee lagern?
Am besten kühl, trocken und lichtgeschützt in einer luftdichten Dose bei Raumtemperatur. Nach dem Öffnen die Aromaschutz-Verpackung gut verschließen oder in eine Kaffeedose umfüllen. NICHT im Kühlschrank lagern! Durch Temperaturschwankungen bildet sich Kondenswasser, das die Aromen zerstört. Auch das Einfrieren ist nicht empfehlenswert.


Wie lange ist der Kaffee haltbar?
Ungeöffnet ist der Kaffee 12 Monate ab Röstdatum haltbar (siehe Verpackung). Nach dem Öffnen empfehlen wir, ihn innerhalb von 4 Wochen zu verbrauchen, um den optimalen Geschmack zu gewährleisten. Auch "abgelaufener" Kaffee ist nicht gesundheitsschädlich, verliert aber an Aroma. Die Frische erkennst du am intensiven Duft beim Öffnen der Packung.


Für wie viele Tassen reicht die 420g Packung?
Bei 18g pro Doppel-Espresso reicht die Packung für circa 23 Espresso-Zubereitungen. Bei Filterkaffee (60g pro Liter) für etwa 7 Liter Kaffee. Das entspricht bei 2 Tassen Espresso pro Tag etwa 12 Tagen.


Ist der Kaffee auch für Einsteiger geeignet?
Ja, definitiv. Und wir verraten dir was: Gerade Einsteiger lieben diesen Blend, da er durch die milde Röstung super zugänglich ist und nicht zu bitter schmeckt. Die schokoladigen Noten machen ihn besonders einsteigerfreundlich. Perfekt, um in die Welt des guten Kaffees einzutauchen!


Kann ich den Kaffee auch für Cold Brew verwenden?
Ja, der Blend eignet sich hervorragend für Cold Brew! Da die Säure bereits durch die milde Röstung reduziert ist, wird der Cold Brew besonders mild und smooth. Verhältnis: 100g Kaffee grob gemahlen auf 1 Liter kaltes Wasser, 12-24 Stunden im Kühlschrank ziehen lassen. Die schokoladigen Noten kommen beim Cold Brew besonders gut zur Geltung.
